Central Maine Power Company (CMP) and Maine Electric Power Company, Inc. (MEPCO) own and operate the entire 345 kV backbone transmission network in Maine.  Additionally, CMP owns and operates all lower voltage transmission in central and southern Maine, west of the Bangor area.
