Items you'll need to have ready

  • Address where service will be established (i.e., service address)
  • Billing address if different from the service address,
  • Service start date, Social Security Number (SSN), second form of identification (e.g., driver's license number)
  • The name and SSN, phone number for any other persons who will be authorized to access your account.

If you are a Maine licensed electrician completing work that requires a simple service disconnect by temporarily removing the meter to complete work safely, you can make this request via our online form.

When we cannot read your meter, we will estimate your usage for the month.  You have the right to read your own meter. Call us at 800.750.4000 for more information.
