AUGUSTA, ME – October 22, 2025 – Central Maine Power (CMP), a subsidiary of Avangrid, is proud to partner with Maine organizations to give back to communities and neighbors alongside its Avangrid sister companies which all celebrated a week of volunteering that took place from October 11 through October 19, 2025.

“CMP employees continue to demonstrate an inspiring commitment to the communities we serve,” said Linda Ball, President and CEO of Central Maine Power.  “Volunteering during this time is a special way to celebrate that spirit, but our dedication to giving back extends throughout the year. Whether it's through hands-on service like assembling care packages for Maine Needs, feeding rescued seals with Marine Mammals of Maine, or pulling a plane to support the Travis Mills Foundation, CMP employees show up for their communities. Our ongoing partnerships with local organizations highlight our deep-rooted commitment to Maine communities.”

CMP partners with more than 140 Maine community organizations, including Junior Achievement of Maine, Make-A-Wish Maine, Travis Mills Foundation, Mitchell Institute, Boots2Roots, The Dempsey Center, Sweetser Mental Health, Special Olympics Maine, Mission Working Dogs, Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute, and the Augusta Food Bank.

During this week, CMP employees participated in several volunteer activities organized through Avangrid’s Energized for Good program. Employees across Maine had the opportunity to get out into their communities and make a meaningful difference through events including the Travis Mills Foundation’s Plane Pull at the Portland International Jetport and the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth.

Central Maine Power is committed to giving back to the communities it serves. In 2024, CMP employees volunteered more than 5,000 hours.
