CMP Partners With Local Schools To Plant Trees In Honor Of Maine Arbor Week

Augusta—May 19, 2022 — Central Maine Power (CMP) has partnered with Maine schools across the company’s service area to donate tree seedlings and coloring books in honor of Maine Arbor Week. CMP arborists will be delivering 750 seedings purchased from O’Donal’s Nursery in Gorham to students in grades K-12 throughout the week. Additionally, CMP arborists will be distributing over 550 electrical safety coloring books, 200 CMP “Trees are Good” coloring books and 20 Forest Trees of Maine Books, which were purchased directly through the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.
