CMP Launching First "Community Connection" Mobile Information Center in Westbrook

These mobile centers will provide new opportunities for CMP customers to ask questions and receive in-person assistance at locations customers are familiar with.

WESTBROOK, ME — June 27, 2023 — Central Maine Power (CMP) is launching a new program to allow customers to ask questions and receive information in-person at locations they are familiar with.

Beginning in Westbrook, Maine on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the first of CMP’s Community Connection Information Centers will be at the Westbrook Community Center’s Bridge StrEAT Food Park event. Between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., CMP will have a team of employees available to answer customer questions and provide account assistance.

“Every day, our customer service employees work diligently to respond to customer needs in our contact center and online. We also know that speaking with people in-person, having a face-to-face to conversation about billing, electric service, home energy use and other topics can make a valuable difference in our customers’ lives,” said Linda Ball, Vice President of Customer Service for CMP. “This is an exciting opportunity to be available to our customers in a new and different way; we’re looking forward to meeting our customers in person.”

“I am pleased CMP has chosen Westbrook for the first of these mobile centers,” said Westbrook Mayor, Michael Foley. “Our growing community, with many new residents, businesses and unique developments like Rock Row that stand alone in Maine, is the perfect place for productive conversations and innovative opportunities like this.”

The street address for Wednesday’s event is 426 Bridge Street, Westbrook, Maine.

As part of customer outreach this summer, CMP will announce additional events in the coming weeks.

Our company is excited to partner with community leaders on this project.
