CMP hosts Third Annual Nonprofit Networking Day in Augusta
CMP hosted more than a dozen Maine nonprofit organizations including Mission Working Dogs, Spectrum Generations, Girl Scouts of Maine and Junior Achievement of Maine
Augusta, ME — August 1, 2025 – Central Maine Power (CMP), a subsidiary of Avangrid Inc., proudly hosted Nonprofit Networking Day at its Augusta headquarters with more than a dozen Maine nonprofit organizations to increase community collaboration and promote future opportunities to volunteer across the state..
Held on July 31, 2025, CMP’s Nonprofit Networking Day brought together more than 50 people from organizations including Outdoors Again, Kennebec Valley Humane Society, American Heart Association, Sweetser, Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, State YMCA Camp of Maine, Maine Discovery Museum, Mission Working Dogs, Portland Trails, Junior Achievement of Maine, Literacy Volunteers of Kennebec, Pine Tree Society, The LifeFlight Foundation, Ketcha Outdoors, Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine, YWCA Central Maine, Best Buddies, Give IT Get IT, Boys & Girls Clubs of Kennebec Valley, and Greenlight Maine.

Maine nonprofits had the opportunity to engage directly with CMP leaders and employees through an interactive fair, a panel discussion, and volunteer sign-up opportunities—sharing their missions, stories, and ways to get involved.
