CMP Helps Customers Prepare for Winter Energy Usage

CMP is hosting eight free Community Connection Events to help customers access resources and manage energy costs.

AUGUSTA, ME – August 27, 2026 – Central Maine Power (CMP), a subsidiary of Avangrid, Inc., will host several Community Connection Events across Maine providing customers with an opportunity to meet one-on-one with CMP representatives, learn about bill assistance programs, and access tools and resources to help manage energy costs.

"As we head into the fall, we know many customers are thinking about household budgets and ways to manage energy usage,” said Mark Morisette, Vice President of Customer Service at CMP.  “Our goal is to make it easier for customers to learn about the resources available to help manage energy use and costs. Through these Community Connection Events, our team can provide one-on-one support, share information about assistance programs, and help customers take advantage of options that can improve affordability heading into the colder months.”

CMP representatives will be available to answer questions about electric bills and accounts, connect customers with bill assistance programs, discuss payment arrangements and energy-saving resources, demonstrate online tools that help track energy use and costs, and provide information about CMP services and programs.
