CMP Brings In-Person Customer Support and Energy-Saving Resources to Maine Communities This Fall
Customers can meet one-on-one with CMP representatives to get answers, explore assistance programs, and learn ways to manage energy use and costs ahead of winter.
AUGUSTA, ME – October 13, 2026 – Central Maine Power (CMP), a subsidiary of Avangrid, Inc., is announcing its next series of nearly a dozen Community Connection Events taking place across Maine this fall. The free, walk-in events provide customers with the opportunity to meet face-to-face with CMP representatives, ask questions, and learn about programs and tools designed to help manage energy use and costs ahead of the winter heating season.
As temperatures begin to drop, CMP encourages customers to take advantage of these in-person events to better understand their electric bills, explore available assistance programs, and learn about resources that can help them make informed decisions about their energy use.
"As we head into the colder months, we want customers to know we're here to help," said Mark Morisette, Vice President of Customer Service at CMP. "Whether you have questions about your bill, want to learn more about available assistance programs, or are looking for ways to better understand and manage your energy use, our team is ready to connect. We encourage customers to reach out early, explore the resources available to them, and work with us on a plan that fits their household's needs before winter arrives."
Community Connection Events are designed to bring customer support directly into local communities, making it easier for customers to access information and assistance close to home. Representatives will be available to discuss electric bills and account questions, connect customers with payment assistance and support programs, review payment options, demonstrate online tools that help track energy use and costs, and share energy-saving tips that can help customers prepare for the winter season.
Customers are welcome to stop by at any time during the scheduled event hours. No appointment is necessary.
