CMP Bringing In-Person Assistance to Maine Communities This August

Customers can meet one-on-one with CMP representatives to get answers, explore assistance programs, and learn about ways to manage energy costs.

AUGUSTA, ME – July 29, 2026 – Central Maine Power (CMP), a subsidiary of Avangrid, Inc., today announced its next set of Community Connection Events that are happening in locations across Maine this summer, giving customers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with CMP representatives and get personalized support.

These free, walk-in events are designed to make it easy for customers to ask questions about their accounts, learn about payment and assistance programs, and explore tools that can help them better understand their energy use and manage monthly bills.

"Customers tell us they value the opportunity to speak with someone directly, especially when they have questions about their bill or are looking for ways to reduce energy costs," said Mark Morisette, Vice President of Customer Service at CMP. "Our Community Connection Events bring our team into local communities so we can have those conversations face-to-face, connect customers with available resources, and help them find solutions that work for their household budget."

CMP representatives will be available to answer customer questions about their electric bills and accounts, connect customers with bill assistance programs, discuss payment options and energy-saving resources, demonstrate online tools that help track energy use and costs, and provide information about CMP services and programs.
