Maine native returns to his roots at CMP where he began his career

“Scott is ideally suited to take on this CMP leadership role on an interim basis,” Stempien said. “He is a customer-focused and recognized ethical leader with deep experience and business understanding of the utility sector, including environmental and regulatory policy matters.”

Flanagan added, “It is important to me that we have a strong and experienced set of hands like Scott’s at the helm during this interim period until a permanent successor to Doug is announced. His experience is a great asset to the company.”

“We have a great team at CMP and I look forward to working with David and our expert operations and service teams as we work to provide reliable and safe service to our customers every day,” said Mahoney.

Since joining CMP in 1996, Mahoney has served in a variety of legal and compliance roles including AVANGRID’s Chief Compliance Officer and as Deputy General Counsel and Chief FERC Compliance Officer for AVANGRID and Secretary of Avangrid Networks.
