Albion Road Substation Interconnection
Project Overview
Central Maine Power Company (CMP) is committed to working with all customers who request a connection to our power grid to receive or distribute electricity. In your area, CMP is beginning the interconnection work required to accommodate a major solar developer that is constructing a 112-megawatt solar array in the communities of Benton, Unity, and Clinton.
Project Scope
The interconnection work requires the reroute and upgrade of a 0.4-mile portion of a transmission line that currently ties into CMP’s Albion Road Substation from the north to an open bay position at the south. This will allow a new solar generator lead line to enter from the north. Additionally, CMP will be making upgrades within the footprint of the existing substation, including construction of a new 115kV breaker and associated protection equipment and foundations.
Estimated Timetable
