Central Maine Power Cuts Outages in Half from Peak of Hurricane Irene Damage
AUGUSTA, Maine, August 30, 2011, 9 a.m. — Central Maine Power Company (CMP) has cut the number of outages in half from the storm’s peak. Approximately 93,000 customers remain without power as of 9 o’clock this morning. That’s down from the peak count of 187,000 outages Sunday evening.
