Central Maine Power to host community informational meeting in Berwick regarding transmission system improvements
AUGUSTA, Maine, July 18, 2011 — Central Maine Power will hold a public informational meeting on Thursday, July 21at 6:30 p.m. at the Berwick Town Hall regarding proposed improvements to the company’s electric transmission system in Berwick. The improvements include the proposed construction of a seven-mile transmission line through southern Berwick and a new substation near Berwick village. The project will improve electric service reliability and capacity for homes and businesses in the area. All members of the Berwick community are welcome.
