CMP Expects to complete storm repairs by midnight
Augusta, Maine, April 18, 2011 – Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) reports that approximately 3,600 customers are still without power as of 5 p.m. High winds that began in the early morning uprooted trees and knocked out power to 22,000 homes and businesses during the day. The number of outages peaked at nearly 15,000 around 10 a.m. CMP expects to have power restored to all customers by midnight.
