CMP Expects to Complete Repairs by Saturday Evening


AUGUSTA, Maine, April 2, 2011 (9 a.m.) —Central Maine Power Company (CMP) expects to restore power to all of its customers by late Saturday evening. As of 8 a.m, approximately 6,500 customers were without power, following a spring snow storm that knocked out power to more than 25,000 customers on Friday.

 The company urges customers to use caution if they see downed lines. CMP also reminds drivers to use caution when approaching utility crews in the roadway.
