Release: Immediate - An Energy East Company


CMP storm recovery will continue one more day


AUGUSTA, Maine, Dec. 16, 2008, 9 p.m. — Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) reports that 3,850 York County homes and businesses are without power as of nine o’clock this evening. The company says that some customers may have their power restored overnight, but many will not be restored until Wednesday. CMP expects to restore power to all York County customers by late Wednesday night, five days after reporting 220,000 homes and businesses without power on Friday afternoon.
