CMP pledges $85,000 to USM's ASET program CMP wants to see more students get the education they need to land good jobs, so we have pledged $85,000 toward the expansion of USM's ASET program. The project will bring three new graduate and four new undergraduate degree programs to USM, and will let the engineering and technology departments double their enrollments. |

Helping Maine students develop stronger economic skills Central Maine Power provides funding to support the Maine Council on Economic Education's mission to help students develop economic ways of thinking and problem solving that they can use throughout their lives as effective participants in a global economy. |

Giving kids of all ages tools for success CMP has pledged $35,000 over three years to Jobs for Maine’s Graduates’ Project Reach, which helps middle school students who might otherwise be at risk for dropping out of school. Its curriculum focuses on personal skills, leadership, and planning for the future. |

Annual Book Donation to elementary schools and public libraries CMP knows that an early love for reading helps to put kids on the path to high aspirations in the future. So every year, CMP donates an award-winning book to more than 600 elementary schools and public libraries throughout its service area. |

Supporting our Community College's efforts to train lineworkers For years, Central Maine Power has partnered with Kennebec Valley Community College, providing donations of cash and equipment and lending expertise to the college's Electrical Lineworker Technology program. |
