NEW Customer Rate Options
We are offering two new rates that may benefit you, depending on how you use electricity. The rate information below is for the Seasonal Heat Pump rate and the Electric Technology rate can be found here. To enroll in the Seasonal Heat Pump rate, please fill out the form below.
Seasonal Heat Pump Rate
If you have a heat pump or are planning to install one, the Seasonal Heat Pump rate may be beneficial for you. This rate has been approved by the MPUC as a pilot program and is limited to the first 5,000 customer enrollments
Requirements to Participate:
- You will need to affirm that you have a heat pump.
- You are expected to enroll in this rate for at least 12 months. If you opt out of the rate before the end of the 12-month period, you will not be able to participate in the rate again for 12 months.
As shown below, the rate has a lower delivery rate per kWh in the winter months, a higher delivery rate per kWh in the summer months and a higher monthly customer charge than Rate A.

The residential Seasonal Heat Pump rate does not include the first 50 kWh use in the Service Charge like Rate A does. It does include the first 750 kWh of usage sales-tax free.
