For Suppliers and Partners
advanced meter options

Central Maine Power Company (CMP) offers additional services that go beyond traditional meter readings for billing.

For energy suppliers that do not receive interval data as part of their normal serive for a specific customer and wish to receive it, CMP offers the following Advanced Meter Options.

  1. Interval data provided daily on CMP's supplier/customer accessible
    Web site (MV-WEB)
This option involves installing a meter with a modem and a recorder, connecting to a customer supplied phone line, daily data collection via CMP's data collection system (MV-90) and posting the data to MV-Web for supplier access.
  2. Interval data provided monthly on MV-WEB
This option involves installing a meter with a recorder, monthly data collection via CMP's Field Revenue Data Readers and posting the data to MV-WEB for supplier access.
  3. Interval data provided via direct access to the meter via phone line
This option involves installing a meter with a modem and recorder, connecting to a customer supplied phone line, and providing read-only access via password.  Supplier will need a compatible interrogation system (MV-90 or other).
  4. Real time interval data from pulses
This option involves installing a meter with a pulse output and providing a termination interface for suppliers to connect recording equipment.

Most Advanced Meter Options can be installed within 6 weeks after receipt of payment.  Each Advance Meter Option request must be reviewed by the appropriate Meter Services Supervisor to determine specific metering equipment needs and technical requirements.
