CMP Continues Push to Complete Storm Repairs
AUGUSTA, Maine, October 31, 2012, noon — Central Maine Power Company (CMP), a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, reports that 11,000 customers remain without power as of noon, but the company expects to have power restored to all customers by late tonight. Hurricane Sandy caused 165,000 outages as it passed through CMP’s service area. CMP’s crews have restored power to nearly 155,000 accounts in the past 48 hours.
