Central Maine Power Hurricane Sandy Recovery Passes the 80% Mark
AUGUSTA, Maine, October 30, 2012 — Central Maine Power Company (CMP), a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, reports that 30,000 customers remain without power after the first day of restoration. The company started the day with 88,000 outages. Since Hurricane Sandy blew into Maine on Monday, CMP has restored power to nearly 130,000 customers out of 159,000 who lost power at some point in the storm.
