CMP crews pour into mid-coast towns for final push in storm repair

 

AUGUSTA, Maine, February 25, 2009, 7 p.m. — Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) continues to work around the clock to restore service, however people still without power at mid-evening should prepare for another night without service.


Due to the heavy damage in communities served by CMP’s Brunswick Service Center, individual streets and roads are too numerous to list. There will be some customers in the following cities and towns without service overnight:

Alna, Arrowsic, Bath, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Bremen, Bristol, Brunswick, Cumberland, Damariscotta, Dresden, Durham, Edgecomb, Freeport, Georgetown, Harpswell, Jefferson, Lewiston, Lisbon, Newcastle, North Yarmouth, Nobleboro, Phippsburg, Pittston, Pownal, Richmond, Sabattus, Somerville, South Bristol, Southport, Topsham, Squirrel Island, Waldoboro, Washington, West Bath, Westport, Whitefield, Wiscasset, Woolwich, Yarmouth.


Because repair efforts are further along in other parts of its service area, CMP can provide additional details for the following communities:
